Freshers Welcome Program

The Second MBA students of SDIT oganised freshers welcome program on 8th October, 2013 at the Auditorium, New P. G. Building. The chief guest of the formal function was Dr Jagadish V. Kamath, Principal, Shree Devi College of Pharmacy, Kenjar. Dr Dilip Kumar K., Principal, SDIT Presided over the function. Lt Cdr (Prof.) P. K. Suresh Kumar, H.O.D. welcomed the gathering. Mr Sandesh Shetty, Class Representative, Second Year MBA, Faculy members, Second year and First year MBA students were present for the program.

Various cultural programs and games were conducted by the students to facilitate interaction between the first and the second year MBA students.

Management Exhibition on “Innovation and New Product Development”

The inauguration of the Management Exhibition on “Innovation and New Product Development” was organized on 18th September, 2013 at Shree Devi Institute of Technology, Kenjar, Mangalore. It was inaugurated by Mr Pavannjaya, General Manager, Friends Veneer & Ply, Mangalore. He congratulated the students, for the efforts that they had put in and said that the exhibition would help to improve their creativity.

Teachers Day Celebration

The MBA Students of Shree Devi Institute of Technology celebrated the Teacher’s Day on 13th September,2013 in Seminar Hall, New P.G. Building, in a grand way. All the members of the staff were honored.

The Principal of the college Dr Dilip Kumar K. presided  over the programme and in his presidential address he remarked that, he was extremely happy to witness such a programme organized by the students’ to honor the teachers who are the ones to guide their way. Lt Cdr (Prof.) P. K. Suresh Kumar, (H.O.D) the staff members and students were present.

Industrial Visit to CAMPCO & Master Plannery, Puttur

The third semester MBA students of SDIT, Mangalore visited Campco Ltd, Puttur and Master Plannery, Puttur. The students experienced and learnt about the operations inside the Campco Ltd (Chocolate Factory) and Master Plannery (Manufacturing Concoor products). Mr Naveen Kumar, Asst. Professor and Mr Abhaya Kumar, Asst. Professor accompanied the students.

Inauguration of First Year MBA

The inaugural of the first year of MBA (2013-15 batch) was organized by Department of Business Administration at Shree Devi Institute of Technology, at the Auditorium, New P. G. Building of the Kenjar campus, Mangalore on September 6th 2013.

Shri Krishna Janmashtami celebrated with fervour in SDIT

Shri Krishna's Janmashtami was celebrated with traditional gaiety and religious fervour at the SDIT Campus, Mangalore on 31st August, 2013.

Students came together and joined in the act of breaking pots by forming pyramids. As every year, this time too it made a breathtaking sight for all those who had gathered at the campus to watch the spectacle. Dr Dilip Kumar, Principal, SDIT, the H.O.D's of various departments and the staff members witnessed the ‘Mosaru Kudike”, cheering the participants throughout.

"Risk Leads to Success" Mr Anand Kumar S. K.

The invited guest lecture was delivered by Mr Anand Kumar S. K., Managing Director, Master Plannery, Puttur on 23rd August, 2013 at the Auditorium. Mr Anand Kumar highlighted the opportunities available and on the ethics to be followed by entrepreneurs. Speaking in the lecture, he highlighted on the point of how the jobs are created through entrepreneurship.

Master Plannery uses concood (a name given for concrete that looks like wood) to produce everything that can be made out of wood and even a few other things for which wood is not used ranging from desks, benches, tables, chairs, sofas, cots, doors and windows to ventilators, ceiling, rafters, panel boards, fence poles, kennels, ladders, staircase and much more.
