The valedictory function of Echelon 14, a National Level Management and Cultural Fest was held on Saturday 15th March 2014, at 4.30 pm at college Auditorium. The chief guest for the valedictory function was Mr Ravindranath Shetty S., Assistant General Manager of Syndicate Bank.
In his speech, he commented about the education in India, and how some Indian students are now appointed in higher post in multinational companies (ex; Satyanarayana Nadella, CEO, Microsoft company), he also emphasized on the bright future that MBA’s have in corporate world. Dr Dilip Kumar K., Principal, SDIT, in his presidential address commended the efforts put in by the Department of Business Administration and wished the best for all the participants and students of the college. Mrs Maina S. Shetty, Secretary, Shree Devi Education Trust, was the guest of honour of the function.
A total of 31 teams participated in the fest. Aloysius Institute of Management and Information Technology, Beeri, Mangalore won the overall championship and A. J. Institute of Management, Mangalore were the overall runners up of the fest. The prize winners were felicitated by the chief guest and the guest of honour.
Prof. (Lt Cdr) P. K. Suresh Kumar, H.O.D., Department of Business Administration, SDIT and Convener of Echelon 14 welcomed the gathering and Mr Sandesh Shetty, student coordinator, Echelon 14 proposed the vote of thanks. Mr Suraj Francis Noronha, Staff Coordinator, and Mr Nasar Kalander, Students Assistant Coordinator were present on the dais. Mr Sarath Kumar and Ms Shrividdya Venugopalan compeered the program.
The H.O.D.’s of various departments, the staff, the MBA students of SDIT and the participants from various colleges were present for the function.
