Workshop on inflation and monetary policies

A workshop on Economics was organised the Department of Business Administration, SDIT on 11th February, 2014 at the Seminar Hall, SDIT. The resource person of the workshop was Dr Nagendra S., H.O.D. and Assistant Professor, Department of MA Economics, Cauvery Centre for P.G. Studies, Cauvery College, Gonikoppal.

Dr Nagendra highlighted factor determining for the credit worthy buyer, strategies of monetary and fiscal policies, dangers of fiscal deficit and also described the Laffer curve which shows the negative impact of the hike in tax rate after certain points which lowers the revenue to the Government.

Dr Dilip Kumar K., Principal, SDIT presided over the programme. Lt. Cdr. (Prof.) P. K. Suresh Kumar, H.O.D., Department of Business Administration welcomed the gathering and Ms Aruna Doreen Manezes, Assistant Professor, Department of Business Administration proposed the vote of thanks.
